Declan O'Sullivan has worked for the last 10 years in the specialised area of fiscal structuring for yachts. He has been responsible for the design and implementation of several yacht and aircraft specific tax efficient structures. In addition to previously establishing a leasing company for the international financial services group Fortis he has established a Maltese based company Pelagos Yachts Malta which operates a Maltese Government approved leasing structure. He has been instrumental in the re-establishment of the commercial yacht registry in the Isle of Man. He has represented both the Isle of Man Shipping Association and the Association of Corporate Services Providers in the consultation process and has worked closely with the Isle of Man Ships Registry in the drafting of the eligibility requirements of the commercial yacht code. In a project management role, his intimate knowledge of the commercial yacht code has assisted clients in both conversions and new builds to code compliance standard. His knowledge has also recently been utilized in a number of high value insurance claims where he has coordinated the components of technically complex claims to successful conclusions. In addition he is the company's Designated Person Ashore for International Safety Management (applies to vessels over 500 GRT) and the Company Security Officer as required under the ISPS code.

Chris Stewart has been involved in the management and administration of yacht and commercial vessel owning structures for the past 8 years. In addition to being an expert company administrator with a wealth of experience of Isle of Man company law, he is also well recognised in the field of yacht related VAT structuring. He has a depth of knowledge of the registration and operational requirements of private and commercial vessels in a variety of jurisdictions. Prior to working for Meespierson Intertrust where he was responsible for the management of over 150 vessel owning structures, he was involved in the management of commercial vessel structures with other local companies including Capco Trust and the law firm Maitland.

Jean Pattison has for more than 25 years managed up to a senior level a wide variety of  administration roles within a major financial institution, specializing in high quality administration with client satisfaction always the top priority. She was responsible for all aspects of banking administration and was heavily involved in the establishment of a bespoke offshore mortgage product. She has now since December 2005 brought this wealth of administration experience to the expanding Pelagos team which further enhance the already high level of service provided by them.

Andrew Dean qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant in 1985 and is a Director of a licensed Corporate and Trust Service Provider in the Isle of Man. He attended Imperial College graduating in chemical engineering under a British Steel scholarship, and worked in combustion research. Emigrating to the Isle of Man in 1975 he switched to accountancy and has held executive directorships in companies involved in aircraft manufacture, investment and insurance management. He is Pelagos' accounting resource and provides a direct link to Corporate Services. He is an RYA Yachtmaster (offshore).

Jennifer Dean joined the Pelagos team in 2005 bringing many year's experience as office manager accountant. She is also a director of a licensed Corporate and Trust Provider in the Isle of Man. From school in Edinburgh she worked in Unit Trust Management before being recruited into the Inland Revenue. Emigrating to the Isle of Man in 1975, she worked for firms of Chartered Accountants before taking a family raising break. She resumed her career, as company secretary and accountant of an active packaging company until manufacture moved to the UK. Having sailed extensively she brings not only administrative but sailing experience to the team.

Captain Allan Albiston started his seagoing career in 1972 as a Navigating Cadet in one of Britain 's largest merchant fleets, sailing in worldwide trades. Qualifying as a Master Mariner in 1983 he served through the officer ranks until being promoted to command in May 1997. He remains as a serving captain on High Speed Passenger Craft and Ro-Pax vessels and combines this role with that of Safety and Training Consultant to Pelagos Yachts Ltd. Prior to moving back to the Isle of Man in 1999 he was employed for 12 years as a part-time lecturer at a major UK nautical college; again combining this with his seagoing role. During this time he not only gained adult training qualifications, including HSE and RYA instructor status but also a wealth of experience in the field of offshore survival. Joining the Pelagos team in October 2004 he brings with him an in depth knowledge of ISM, ISPS and the STCW Codes and compiled the Pelagos Yachts 'Mini-ISM' Safety Management System for >24 metre yachts. Existing on 'both sides of the fence' he deals directly with yacht captains and crew on all matters of safety, security and training.
