METS 2007 floorspace sold out

METS 2007 has enjoyed a record sell-out and with six months still to go, all exhibition space has been allocated to new and long-term exhibitors.

Show organiser Amsterdam RAI, in association with the International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA), reports that a waiting list has now been drawn up. More than 1,100 exhibitors will occupy over 48,000sqm (516,700sqft) of gross exhibition space, making the show larger than ever.

The SuperYacht Pavilion at METS is also growing, and has so far expanded from 50 exhibitors last year to 60 for 2007. It is however expected to grow to 75 over the next few months.

"We are delighted with the swift take-up," said Irene Dros, METS product manager. "We try to please all exhibitors and we've given everyone as much space as possible. I know some companies would have liked larger stands - a big compliment to METS that we truly appreciate - but it's been a tough balancing act. Interest is at an all-time high."

This year, Amsterdam-based METS - the world's largest trade exhibition of marine equipment and accessories for the leisure marine industry - will be celebrating its 20th anniversary. The show's target groups are yacht builders, naval architects, repair yards, distributors, dealers, wholesalers, captains, marina operators and equipment manufacturers from around the world.

METS 2007 will be held from November 13-15. More information about the event can be found at www.metstrade.com .
