IOM Ship Registry - changes to fees

The Isle of Man Ship Registry is to introduce an annual registration fee – for the first time in its 25 year history. Uniquely, unlike other registries, the fee will not be dependent upon ship size or type.

The fee has been set at an economical £700 per merchant vessel which allows direct and favourable comparison between the costs of registration with competitor flags.

In addition the fee scales for pleasure vessels is also going to change.  The initial registration fee will be reduced to £150 (from £535) but with an annual fee of £100 for each subsequent year on the Register.
