Well known engine manufacturer lays off 70

Negotiations between Volvo Penta and its unions have ended with 70 employees having to leave the company. The number includes 44 people from the Vara factory in Sweden and another 26 in Gothenburg.

Volvo Penta originally warned that 108 people would have to leave their jobs, but the number was reduced through voluntary layoffs and a reduction in the number of consultants
